SHANNON PULLIUM
Shannon Pullium is the inaugural head coach of Keystone Athletic Academy King's basketball program in 2021-22.
In 2020 -21,Pullium helped Gannon University Division 2, through a challenging year as it posted a 10-4 overall record despite not getting its season underway until January and playing an independent schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Golden Knights made the most of their opportunities and started with an 8-0 record, the best start to a season since 2008-09. The stretch was highlighted by back-to-back wins over then-ranked No. 25 Daemen and marked the first time Gannon upended a top 25 opponent since 2014-15
Pullium spearheaded a stint as the head coach at Mercyhurst North East University, where he guided the Saints for four seasons. Prior to his stop at Mercyhurst North East, Pullium was the head boy’s basketball coach at Strong Vincent High School for 18 seasons. He compiled a 311-134 overall record to become the all-time wins leader in Erie School District history.
Under his guidance, the Colonels won 10 conference championships, three District 10 championships, had two state semifinal appearances and one state championship appearance.
Pullium is an Erie, Pa. native and earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Slippery Rock University, where he was three year starter and four year letterman on the basketball team. Pullium recently spent 16 years as a Behavioral Specialist in the Erie Public School System. Pullium lives in Erie with his wife, Nikisha.
